Human Resources Manager

Ziegler Aerospace is recruiting Human Resources Manager to provide Human Resources support to the Engineering department to ensure play a pivotal role in the company’s future expansion by hiring and developing talented employees. You will support the Global HR Director, implementing change and growth in a fast-paced growing business. Supporting the delivery of a progressive People Plan aligned to the company strategy and the strategic business context.

Duties and responsibilities
  • To lead and develop the HR team to deliver a true business partner approach, adding value to the different operations within the organisation.
  • Empower the team to excel in their roles, by guiding, supporting, setting objectives and monitoring and managing performance through effective communication.
  • Advise and support line management both at HQ and across the Sites network by providing expert guidance on all aspects of HR and Employment Law.
  • Understand the organisation goals and build strong collaborative working relationships with managers across the organisation in order to achieve those goals.
  • Work with the Head of HR and Recruitment Team to ensure an attractive Employer Brand is created and maintained to position the organisation as an Employer of Choice, recruiting the right people for the right reasons.
  • To support on the delivery of relevant training interventions and management training courses, as well as providing individual coaching to operational managers.
  • Work with the Head of HR to input into the organisation succession planning, identifying potential and providing appropriate solutions to grow internal talent.
  • Oversee investigations and employee relations issues including redundancy, TUPE and grievance situations, supporting the Head of People with the management of any Employee tribunals.
  • Develop effective and transparent HR procedures and policies to reflect business aims and focus, and oversee their consistent application by management.
  • To identify continuous improvement across HR systems, processes and procedures.
  • To work in close collaboration with managers in ensuring that they themselves actively manage their teams and that they adhere to company policies.
  • oversee the onboarding process in relation to new starters and support the Admin Team as needed ensuring all pre-employment checks are in place.
  • To manage a busy HR inbox and liaise with different departments effectively in order to resolve queries.
  • To manage recruitment campaigns and source the correct candidates for the roles advertised.
Skills and experience
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Proven experience as an HR in UK and international regions
    • Understanding of recruitment processes.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt style to suit different situations and people.
    • Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and work calmly under pressure.

     

  • Ideal background/ experience:
    • Experience in large or medium sized company environments (50 people plus) with overseas operations.
    • Ideally experience in the  Aviation / Engineering / Technical  sector.
    • Appreciation of how to operate in a fast paced environment.
