Parts Procurement Team Lead

Procurement Operations:

1. Lead and oversee the procurement of aircraft parts, components, and materials in compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
2. Analyze and evaluate supplier quotes, negotiating for the best terms, pricing, and delivery timelines.
3. Develop and implement pricing strategies to optimize cost-effectiveness while ensuring quality and availability.
4. Ensure proper inventory management, optimizing stock levels to prevent shortages or excess.
5. Monitor procurement activities to ensure adherence to contractual terms and conditions.

Team Leadership:

1. Supervise and mentor the procurement team, delegating tasks and ensuring smooth operations.
2. Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback to team members.
3. Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting innovation and problem-solving.
4. Train and develop team members to enhance their knowledge of procurement practices and systems.

Supplier Management:

1. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, terms, and prices.
2. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
3. Identify and onboard new suppliers to diversify the supply chain and mitigate risks.

Compliance & Documentation:

1. Ensure all procurement activities comply with aviation industry standards (e.g., FAA, EASA) and organizational policies.
2. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
3. Monitor and address any discrepancies or delays in part deliveries.

Reporting & Analysis:

1. Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
2. Provide regular reports to management on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
3. Implement and monitor KPIs to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement operations.

Problem-Solving & Crisis Management:

1. Address urgent procurement needs and resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
2. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to source critical parts in emergency situations.

Must-Have:

1. 1–3 years of experience in aircraft parts procurement or a related aviation supply chain role.
2. Strong understanding of aircraft parts, components, and procurement practices.
3. Proficiency in analyzing and comparing supplier quotes and implementing pricing strategies.
4. Familiarity with aviation regulations such as FAA, EASA, and OEM standards.
5. Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).
6. Demonstrated team-building and leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and manage teams.
7. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

Good to Have:

1. Certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CIPS, CSCP, or equivalent).
2. Knowledge of logistics and freight forwarding processes for aviation parts.
3. Experience with Just-in-Time (JIT) procurement practices.
4. Ability to manage budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
